1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using the ArtistLock application (hereinafter, “the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the App.
2. Description of the Service
ArtistLock is an application designed to help reduce impulsive use of certain apps through a temporary blocking system.
The App uses Apple’s Screen Time framework to allow users to block selected applications until completing a short drawing ritual.
The purpose of the App is to encourage more mindful digital habits.
3. Use of the App
The user is responsible for:
selecting which apps they wish to block
managing their own digital habits
correctly configuring the required system permissions
ArtistLock does not guarantee that the user will reduce their phone usage or eliminate digital distractions.
The App is provided as a support tool only.
4. System Permissions
To function properly, the App requires system permissions provided by Apple, including:
access to Screen Time
access to the apps selected by the user for blocking
These permissions are managed entirely by the iOS operating system.
ArtistLock does not access the content of other apps or any personal data within them.
5. Subscriptions
Some features of the App may require a paid subscription.
The subscription:
is managed through the Apple App Store
renews automatically unless canceled
can be canceled at any time through the user’s Apple account settings
Apple is responsible for payment processing.
6. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
The developer makes no guarantees regarding:
continuous availability
absence of errors
specific outcomes or behavioral results
Use of the App is at the user’s own risk.
7. Changes to the Service
The developer may modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time to improve functionality or introduce new features.
